Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley (Godwin) was an English novelist who wrote the Gothic novel Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus (1818), the apocalyptic novel The Last Man (1826) etc. Mary Shelley’s work is considered an early example of horror, apocalyptic, dystopian, true science fiction stories.
